Our Curriculum balances the core requirements with strong electives to achieve a solid foundation in Family Medicine. This gives our residents the flexibility to shape their education to meet their individual needs, interests, and desires to best suit them in their future practice location.
First Year Curriculum
- Adult Medicine (3 months)
- OB (2 months)
- Surgery (1 month)
- PEDS (1 month)
- Cardiology (1 month)
- Sports Medicine (1 month)
- ER (200 hours in 1 month)
- Radiology (2 weeks)
- Urology (2 weeks)
- Anesthesia (2 weeks)
- Behavioral Science (2 weeks)
Second Year Curriculum
- Adult Medicine (2 months)
- OB (2 months)
- Surgery (1 month)
- PEDS (1 month)
- NICU or PICU (1 month)
- ORTHO (1 month)
- Dermatology (2 weeks)
- ENT (2 weeks)
- Electives – (3 months)
Third Year Curriculum
- Adult Medicine (2 months)
- OB (2 months)
- PEDS (1 month)
- Practice Management (1 month)
- Geriatrics (1 month)
- Women’s Health (1 month)
- Ophthalmology (2 weeks)
- Electives (2 1/2 months)
- Rural (or International Elective) (1 month)
Our residents have a large number of interested subspecialties from which choose for added flexibility.
