Large-volume, Family Medicine service run exclusively by our residents

  • Highly organized and busy inpatient services
  • ICU care provided by our residents in conjunction with intensivist, subspecialty, and faculty consultation and oversight (as desired)
  • Board-certified Family Medicine and Internal Medicine teaching faculty
  • Daily teaching rounds and didactic lectures on inpatient service

Procedural training and subspecialty consultations

  • Managing all Code Blues and inpatient emergencies while on in-house call
  • Residents have the freedom to choose when and with whom to consult for subspecialty expertise in the care of their patients
  • Broad selection of specialists who embrace and are committed to the training of Family Medicine residents at a high level of inpatient expertise
  • Inpatient Procedures:
    • Intubations and ventilator care
    • Chest tubes
    • Thoracentesis
    • Paracentesis
    • Central Lines
    • Endoscopy (EGD and Colonoscopy)
